Day 1

Our plane touched down in Manchester, UK at approximately 9:15 am. We had less than an hour to catch our scheduled train to London. We made it through the very long customs line and then had to book-it to the train station, conveniently located on the opposite side of the airport! John says I wasn't running fast enough - but I was going as fast as I could! I described it as the scene from Home Alone....arms, bags, jackets flying in the air running down the long corridors of the airport.

We make it to the train and the kind man at the window says, "You have 3 minutes, love. If you miss this train, you miss EVERYTHING!"
We made it, thank goodness. The 2 hour train ride to London was lovely.

We were exhausted.....

After a short rest and some energy tea, compliments of Meagan, we headed to Bushy Park for a stroll and some wine. Bushy Park is the 2nd largest of London's Royal Parks and lies just north of Hampton Court Palace (once the home of King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn).

Lots of deer.....can walk right up to them.

Rhett bombing the picture...again!

John looks like a little person in this pic...haha.

On the walk home, John stormed Hampton Court Palace. I never laughed so hard in my life....
